A NEW FLAGSHIP LOCATION IN THE NATION’S CAPITAL

JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY

John Hopkins University turned to GPA to help them secure the legislative and regulatory approvals for the university’s purchase of 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. This required approval of legislation to by the Council of the District of Columbia to remove a longstanding Land Use Restriction on the building, paving the way for JHU’s new flagship location just a few blocks from the United States Capitol on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Called “555 Penn,” the building brings all of the JHU’s Washington, DC-based students, faculty, and staff under one roof. The new building is not only a new home for School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), but hosts other divisions of the university, providing unprecedented opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with students and renowned faculty from across Johns Hopkins University and world of public policy.
