Cheyanne Woodyard is Director, Public Affairs at Georgetown Public Affairs, where she leads strategic public affairs, advocacy, and reputation management initiatives for clients navigating complex and rapidly evolving policy environments. She brings more than a decade of experience across government, emerging technologies, and mobility innovation, with a demonstrated ability to advance multijurisdictional legislative priorities, mitigate risk, and strengthen stakeholder trust.

Prior to joining GPA, Cheyanne served as Senior Public Affairs Manager at Zoox, an autonomous vehicle company within the Amazon portfolio. In this role, she advised executive leadership on high-stakes public affairs and trust-and-safety matters, directed crisis communications during three voluntary recalls while maintaining the company’s reputation score, and developed rapid-response strategies for regulatory, media, and community engagement. She also oversaw strategic external engagement initiatives, including community partnerships, first responder outreach, and public education efforts.

Cheyanne previously held government affairs and community engagement roles at mobility startups Superpedestrian and Bird; the latter of which was recognized as a unicorn start-up in the tech mobility sector. At Bird, she managed markets and regulatory relationships across the Southeast and Eastern United States, leading market-expansion efforts and securing operating permits in more than 30 jurisdictions. Her work included negotiating data-privacy protections and collaborating with local and state officials to help shape regulatory frameworks for mobility technologies. At Superpedestrian, she continued this regional leadership, developing new market strategies and serving as Interim Director of Policy and Business Development for the U.S.

She began her public service career in the administration of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, serving as Legislative Analyst and Special Projects Manager in the Office of the Mayor. In this capacity, she contributed to policy analysis, legislative impact evaluations, and stakeholder engagement to support executive decision-making during a period marked by major citywide wins—including the renewal of Delta Air Lines’ long-term lease at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, NCR Corporation’s headquarters expansion in Midtown, and significant economic, infrastructure, and fiscal reforms across the city.

Cheyanne is known for bridging policy and business strategy to help startups and high-growth companies achieve commercial outcomes, secure market positioning, and build durable relationships with regulators and communities.

Cheyanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
